The term for the current Executive Committee (EC) for 2017-18 led by president Ram Kerur is coming to an end this month. The Annual General Body Meeting ( AGM ) is scheduled for the 30th of June after which a new team shall be in place for 2018-19. The notice for the AGM has gone out to all the regular members and is reproduced in this issue.
Like many a one-day cricket match in which more runs are scored in the later overs , we saw a major part of action from our Section in the past three months ( March , April and May 2018 ). The Core team , the various EC chairs and support staff were on their toes constantly. And whether we “won” and how well will be announced in the AGM !
This issue of the newsletter carries brief reports of these events , mainly , the annual all-student section meet ‘iACT2018’ , the specialized certification course for ‘Functional Safety Professional - Level-1’ and the annual flagship event for the section the national level symposium ‘PharmaNext2018’. We also had , at Mu Sigma , ITPL , the last Tech talk in the series with the theme ‘ Extracting Value from Data - Reaping the Tangible Benefits of (I)IOT
ISA members are professionals involved in their career and personal goals. But some of them volunteer extra time and energy to assist in the section activities as Office bearers and Executive Committee members. We have an article in this issue on their motivation and experiences.
